TWO DOUBLE CENTURIES DEMPSTER AND MAXWELL LONDON. June 28 Lancashire, last year's county cricket champion eleven, was defeated for the second time this week, when Derbyshire won a. closely-contested game at Old Trafford, by seven runs. A. Sandham, playing for Surrey against Hampshire, completed his 100 th three-figure score in first-class cricket. There were two double centuries in a match between Leicester and Sir Julian Cahn's eleven. The successful batsmen were C. S. Dempster, the former New Zealand player, who was unbeaten; and J.
