PLUNGED INTO CREEK
PEOPLE IN PAVILION MORE! THAN 100 INJURED (deceived June 30, 5.5 p.m.) NEW YORK, June 29 The collapse of an old pavilion at Croop's jlen, near Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. in which a baby contest was being held, resulted in more than 100 people being injured, some of them gravely. Nearlj 400 men, women and children were pluiged more than 30ft. into the shallow waters of the Hunlock Creek. The entire structure fell from high ground nto the creek, tossing them all into it, a screaming, writhing mass. It is considered remarkable that no one was killed.
