COLLEGE EX-PUPILS
ANNUAL REUNION There was. a large gathering at the Lyceum Club on Saturday afternoon when the ex-pupils of the old Mount Eden College held their annual " At home." Tho guests were received by tho honorary-secretary, Miss Gladys Erson, and members of the committee who comprised:—Mrs. G. Warren, Mrs. H. J. S. Sellars, Mrs. David Henderson, Mrs. 11. M. Rogerson, Mrs. G. Wright, Mrs. Colin Gordon, Miss Isabel Devore, Miss Hilda Wiseman, Miss Vella Wiseman, Miss Bona Taylor, and Miss M. Morton. The guests of honour were the former principals, Miss Bews and Miss Alice Bews, who were presented with posies, on arrival, by Mrs. H. J. S. Sellars and Miss Hilda Wiseman. They were received with an ovation, after which their old pupils were presented to them, introductions being made in their " school names." Miss Clouston, principal of St. Cuthbert's College, Miss Gash and Miss Johnson of the St. Cuthbert's Old Girls' Association, were also present. A short business meeting was held earlier in the afternoon, when a committee was elected to make arrangements for the reunion to be held on tho last Saturday in June 1936. I"eeling reference was mado by the secretary, Miss Gladys Krson, to the loss of the president, Miss Jessie Reid, and as a mark of esteem thoso present stood for a few moments in silence.
