ST. ANDREW'S SOCIETY
BANNOCKBURN SOCIAL The Town Hall concert chamber was filled nearly to capacity on Saturday night, the occasion being tho social evening arranged by the St. Andrew's Society .of Auckland to celebrate the anniversary of tho Battle of Bannockburn. A delightful Scottish one-act play. "The New Provost," a local election comecly, was particularly well received, the cast comprising Mrs. A. Dollar and Messrs. A. Dollar, G. Spicer and J. Shields. Items wero given by Miss Winifred Hill, soprano, Mrs. G. Hill, elocutionist, Mr. J. T. Gibson, baritone, and Mr. A. Currio, violinist. The accompanists were Miss Lillian Braithwaitc and Mr. J S. l'ask. The entertainment concluded with supper and dancing.
