LAMB MARKET FIRM SLOW DEMAND FOR BEEF The following cablegrams, dealing with the Smithfield meat market at the close of business last week, have been received: — Bank of New Zealand. —Wethers: There is a bettor demand for light weights. Ewes: The market is dull. Lambs: There is a good demand for prime lambs. Trade is affected by hot weather.
