RESTRICTION OF DONATIONS ONLY FUNDS FOR DISTRESS [by TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] MASTERTON, Thursday Replying to a deputation, Sir Alexander Young made it perfectly clear that there are now no moneys available from art unions apart from what is needed for the relief of distress. The profit from the last art union was only £SOOO, while about two years ago profits amounted up to £14,000. All the proceeds were urgently needed for relieving distress.
