BURGLAR AT POKENO

ATTEMPT TO OPEN SAFE GOODS TAKEN FROM STORE An unsuccessful attempt to blow open the safe at the Pokeno branch store of the Farmers' Trading Company, Limited, was discovered yesterday morning. The intruders, unable to gain access to the interior of the safe, stole from the store tobacco and cigarettes valued nt about £ls. The open door of the store was noticed by a passer-by yesteitlay iteming, and he advised the manager.
