MAIN TRUNK SLIP
MINOR BLOCKAGE OCCURS SEVERAL TRAINS DELAYED [by telegraph OWN correspondent] TAUMARUXUI, Tuesday A slip on the Main Trunk Railway line, about half-way between Taumarunui and Taringamotu, occurred this afternoon and delayed several trains. However, the line was cleared within a few hours, a relief gang being despatched from Tauinarunui. As a result of the slip the- usual 4.30 p.m. train north from Tauinarunui was unable to leave before G.;io. The train from Frank ton scheduled to reach Tauinarunui at 7 p.m. was an hour late in arriving, but this was due to its being delayed by other trains running late farther up the line. All trains to-night have to slow down while passing the spot where the slip occurred as there is a possibility of a further fall of loose material 011 the line.
