REffIJERA CLUB'S SEASON SATISFACTORY POSITION r NEW OFFICERS ELECTED A good financial position was disclosed in the report and balance-sheet presented at the annual meeting of the Remuera Bowling Club. The past season was voted satisfactory in all resppcts. Appreciation was recorded of the honour attained by Mr. Raymond Sheath, a member of the club, as president of the Dominion Bowling Association Prizes were won during tho year n« follows:—Championship singles, W. T. Bell: junior champion, G. H. Harlo; champion pairs, D. Harvey, H. J. Bray; Hart Cup, F. M. Watson; Murdoch pairs, C. J. Eller beck, E. Beatson Jobson fours, A Loosemore. H. Henson. W. J. Buttimore, H. Burnett; veterans, M M. McCallum; Potts cups, J. Riordan, C. E. Clarkson, T. Vincent, G. A. Keys; Vincent workboxes, H. Burnett, W. M. Jackson, J. W. Eaves, G. H. Haile. Officers were elected as follows:—President, Mr. F. M. Short, vice-presidents, Messrs. H. J. Bray L. L. Macey, R G. Norton; treasurer, Mr, C. J. Ellcrbeck; secretary, Mi W. Norton, A. N. Scott; delegates to Auckland Centre, Messrs. Daniels, McCallum, Sheath; auditor, Mr. J. C. Badoley. TOURNEY AT GREY LYNN The second round of the competition for the T. W. Mayson barometer, controlled by the Grey Lynn Bowling Club, will be played to-morrow. The following skips have entered teams -.—Budge (Hillsborough), Casely, Fraser-Smith (West End), Boat: (Hallyburton-Johnstone), Livingstone, McKenzie (Onohunga), Russell (Ponsonby), McMillan (Reniuera), Kasper (Auckland), Donaldson, Pudflle (Grey Lynn), de Launay 'Carlton).
SOUTH AUCKLAND CENTRE REVIEW OF PAST SEASON [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Tuesday A review of the activities of the past year is contained in the annual report of the South Auckland Bowling Centre, to be presented at the annual meeting to-morrow afternoon. It is stated that there are now 32 clubs in the centre, with a total membership of 1370. The receipts for the year were £l6O, and the expenditure £172. Eighteen entries were .received foe, the central tournament, which was won by the Hamilton Club's team, R. N. Pilkington, W. J. Robinson, J. 3. Anchor and W. Crawshaw. P. Stewart (Te Poi) won the champion of champions singles for the second time in succession. There were 17 entries in the competition. In the champion of champions rinks competition, Whitiora, Thames, Matamata and Frankton Junction contested the finals, which was won by Whitiora after a hard-fought series of games. Veterans' day again proved to be as popular as in previous years During the afternoon over 100 veterans were entertained by the centre The North Auckland Centre organised a representative party and E&id a visit to the local clubs 4 tour was also arranged by the South Auckland Centre, involving visits to Hawke's Bay. Manawatu, Wanganui and Taranaki. The party comprised 52 bowlers and 23 ladies
