PAKURANGA HUNT

MEET HELD AT DRURY The Pakuranga Hunt met at Drurv yesterday. Scent was lying exceptionally well and excellent sport was obtained. The Governor-General, Viscount Gal way, was present on Tom Thumb, and Captain A. G. W. Heber-Percy. A.D.C., was on Safe Conveyance. The hounds threw off on Mr. Flanagan's property and worked across a creek to Mr. Fitzpatriek's farm, where a strong hare was put up It led the hunt for a good run across the road to Mr. ' Hamilton's farm. It entered the bush on the hills and then circled round to head straight back across Mr Hamilton's property in the direction of Mr. Herd's iarm. It then doubled back to the hills again, where a kill was made in the bush. Some timo elapsed before the hounds eventually started another hare in the crass on Mr. Hamilton's farm. The scent was lying strongly and a splendid run was made across flat country and over the road to Mr. Fitzpatrick's property and back across a flooded stream. From there the hare. circled back to Mr. Hamilton's place and across another road to Mr. Herd's property, where tho hounds wore withdrawn owing to tho lateness of the hour. The hunt then returned to the Drury Hall lor afternoon tea.
