MOUNT EDEN BATHS
HEATING AND FILTRATION A decision to call for tenders for the supply of (a) a filtration and chlorination plant and (b) a filtration, chlorination and heating plant for the Mount Eden swimming baths was reached by the Mount Eden Borough Council at its meeting last night. The matter was brought up by the chairman of the Baths Committee, Mr. It. J Mills, who stated that the committee was convinced that serious consideration would have to be given to the matter. "We will have to close the baths if we do not do something soon," said the Mayor, Mr. T. McNab. In the interests of the young people of the borough, the chief users of the baths, the installation of some form of chlormation plant was essential.
