COMING COMPETITIONS
CAMBRIDGE PROGRAMME [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] CAMBRIDGE, Tuesday A meeting of the committee of the Cambridge Competitions Society was held last evening, when preparatory arrangements were made for the competitions festival to be held in October. The following test selections forwarded to the adjudicators were approved:— Vocal: Soprano solo, " Sing, Break Into Song," B flat (Mallinson); mezzosoprano solo, "Charming Chloe," medium key (German); contralto solo, " Fisher Lad," D minor (Day); tenor solo, " 0, Lovely Night," E flat (Ronald); baritone solo, "The Great Adventure," C (Fletcher); bass solo, "Myself When Young," low key (Lehmann). Elocution u Test recital, ladies, "The Sky Lark Caged " (Alfred Noyes); test recital, gentlemen, " Vietrix" (A. Conan Doyle).
