PAPAKURA WATER
ATTITUDE OF MAN UREWA
An apology for the actions of some ; members of the Manurewa Town Board in connection with recent negotiations regarding the Papakura water supply was received at last night's meeting of the Papakura Town Board from the Manurewa board. The letter stated that the majority of members of the Manurewa Town Board had placed on record their regret at the actions of a minority of the board members who, after accepting the Papakura board's invitation to view its water scheme, head works, purification plant and pipe line, expressed their satisfaction, but a few weeks later 'joined with other opponents of the combined supply, proposal. The Papakura board decided to thank the Manurewa board for its communication.
