FRENCH BANK RATE
REDUCTION TO 5 PER CENT
PARIS, June 20
The French bank rate has been lowered to 5 per cent. The bank rate has been raised from 2J per cent to 6, and back to 5 since May 23. It went from 2} to 3 per cent on May 23, to 4 per cent on May 25, and to 6 per cent on Mav 28.
