ITALY INDICTED NEW APPEAL TO LEAGUE ALLEGED AGGRESSIVE ACTS GENEVA. June 20 The Government of Abyssinia, in a fresh Note to the League of Nations, states that since its former appeal the situation has become worse, and that aggression against Abyssinia's independence seems imminent. The Note claims that Abyssinia has faithfully abided by the Council's decision, whereas Italy has continued to send troops and large quantities of to East Africa accompanied by inflammatory threats. Abyssinia accuses the Italian press of constantly reporting frontier incidents for the purpose of disturbing the relations between Italy and Abyssinia, and the Italian Government declares that these incidents confirm its duty to defend its interests. The Note further states that these assertions are pretexts for making aggression inevitable, and suggests that the League send a committee of neutrals to the frontier to investigate all alleged or real incidents.

ITALIANS INSULTED ADDIS ABABA INCIDENT FLAG TORN FROM CAR ROME. June 00 A member of the Abyssinian Air Force is alleged to have torn an Italian flag from the car of the First Secretary of the Italian Legation at Addis Ababa and to have cursed Italians. The police arrested him, and the Italian Ambassador protested to the Abyssinian Government. It is officially stated in Rome that definite instructions have not been given to Italians to leave Abyssinia within the next few weeks. Thousands of people from all parts of France and Corsica were present. Spada met death bravely. He refused a drink of rum, saying he had never smoked, or drunk alcohol and did not require a drink to help him to die.
