Some highclass horses are listed for the chief races, the Adams Memorial Cup and the Cornwall Handicap. There will be two totalisator pools, one for two dividends, 1 5 and 25 per cent, and the other for threee dividends, 33$ per cent each in fields of eight or more, and two dividends, 50 per cent each, in fields of five, six or seven. Following are the acceptances, with a review of the prospects in each race by " Abaydos 11.37—-WINTER HANDICAP, Of £12o; trotters; limit 3.49; 14 miles Captain Bolt . Lt. yds bhd Lrt Triumph . . Lt. Worthy Nor . 24 Native Princess Lt. Young Rodney . 60 Nelson's Glory . Lt. Meadow King • 7'2 "Waskasu .... Lt. Captain Bolt has made sufficient progress with racing to have a great chancy, and Nelson's Glory, on her Hamilton display, also has prospects. Native Princesß may surprise, while solidness on the part of La Triumph and Waskasu would put them in the picture. Worthy Nor should be one of the most dangerous. Young Rodney should go solidly, while recent form suggests distinct possibilities for Meadow King. The chief fancies may be CAPTAIN BOLT. WORTHY XOR, MEADOW KING. 12.22—MANGERE HANDICAP, Of £125; limit 3.5; 1J miles Ariel Bell ... Lt. Kelson Luvan . Lt. Bonny ' Azure . Lt. Ranfurly Lass . Lt. Cherrill .... Lt. Scrap Iron . . . Lt. Derby Fame . . 36 Bracket: Bonny Azure and Nelson Luvan. The Bonny Azure-Nelson Luvan bracket should prove a sound combination, but may encounter stout opposition from recent place-getters, Kia Kaha. Ranfurly Lass. Worthy Boy and Gloster. The trotter Great Admiral should keep the pacers busy. If the track is not too soft, Cherrill will be fancied, and Frank Best is a maiden who is likely to show a good deal of improvement. Great Chum and Derby Fame are not without prospects. The best supported may be , BONNY AZURE-NELSON LUVAN Bracket, RANFURLY LASS. KIA. KAHA. I.7—ADAMS MEMORIAL CUP, Of £275 and gold cup valued at £SO; limit 4.33: 2 miles Manoeuvre '. . . Tempest and Mountain Dell. Wee Machine, who has come on well, may be preferred to Manoeuvre, and being coupled with Chancellor, who is in good heart, will make a useful bracket. Eingen Chief holds excellent prospects, while Great Logan, Jackie Thorpe and Nimbus are a solid trio. Willie Derby is sure (0* run well, while Te:-npest should be dangerous. Auto Machine, Kewpie's Triumph and Mountain Dell are really good class. The favourites may be , BINGEN CHIEF, WEE MACHINE - CHANCELLOR Bracket, NIMBUS. Ann Parrish has recent winning form on her side, but may find Great Admiral, with whom Te Kaha ;s bracketed, very hard to beat. Manna's Son has prospects and condition should stand to Mountain Sun. If she is back to form, Kuini should be dangerous, while Gala Day and Mute should make it interesting. Most support may be accprded to GREAT ,ADMIRAL-TE KAHU Bracket, ANN PARRISH. KUINI. 2.37—HQBSON HANDICAP, Ol £130; limit 3.40; li mileß Bonny Azure . . Lt. Tinokaha . . , Lt. Bismuth . . . Lt. yds bhd Charteris Bay . Lt. Ironside .... 12 Derby Fame . . Lt. Rockella ... 36 Kewpie's Crest . Lt. Lucky Love . . 48 Our McKinney . Lt. Unless she succeeds earlier. Bonny Azure ■will be giving away three seconds and may not start, but Derby Fame, Kewpie's Crest and Charteris Bay have shown useful form and hold reasonable prospects. Bismuth and Our McKinney are solid pacers who should handle the conditions to advantage, but Tinokaha and Ironside may find the going •unsuitable. Rockella and Lucky Love are good improvers who should race creditably. Fancies may be well distributed, with a

preference for OUR McKINNEY, BISMUTH, ROCKELLA. 3.22—CORNWALL HANDICAP, Of £175; limit 2.47; li miles Hohoro . . . Lt. yds bh<l Homeward . . . .Lt. Ladv Coronado . 12 lierod Lt. Herod, Hohoro and Trustworthy have not raced for some time, but the first-named may run well. Homeward, Nelson de Oro and Travis may take overhauling off the limit, but Bracken, Lady Coronado. Prince Pedro and Smooger are handily placed and should keep them busy. Kewpie's Guy,

• - Pegaway, Mountain Deil and Impromptu should add a good deal of interest to a race in which fancies are likely to take a wide range. . The favourites may be BRACKEN - MOUNTAIN DELL Bracket.
