Miss Madeline Carroll is returning tn the stage after an absence of three years. She will play the leading part in J. B. Priestley'? comedy, " D:iet in Floodlight,which is to he produced by Sir Cedric Hardwicke. The pieco is now in rehearsal, and will be seen at a West End theatre in the course of the next month. Miss Carroll plays the part of a film star. During the last three years sho has been engaged entirely in important film productions, including, " 1 Was a Spy," " The World Moves On " (which was made in Hollywood) and " The Thirty-Nine Steps."
