THE NEW UNDIES

The latest undies have all been designed with the definite idea of preserving the slim princess silhouette without an unsightly wrinkle or bulge anywhere. Perfectly-fitting foundation garments, whether the all-in-one brassiere corset, or the brassiere and belt combination, are absolutely necessary. If the latter are preferred, the brassiere should be carefully fitted at the same time as the belt, so that the line is preserved. All the garments in every make are built to keep the hips as Rlinky as possible, and to give the uplift line to the bust which is a feature of the now dresses. Petticoats are being cut on the cross with V-shaped hip sections and pin-tucks, to be as slinky as possible. Seams are hemstitched and absolutely flat. Needle-run laco is inlet into the petticoat and chemises to act as brassieres/ Knickers have hip yokes, and are generally cut with the open French legs. As for nightgowns, they show a tendency to follow the evening mode, with slim skirts and details on the tiny cape-sleeves, which are sometimes of lace, sometimes frille'd and tucked, sometimes embroidered.
