HUNT FOR THIEF
Scotland Yard men are on the lookout for a man who, by posing as a friend of the secretaries of Lord Derby and Mr. J. A. Dewar, has been work-, ing a confidence trick in London and the South of England. He is wanted in Worthing, Bournemouth and the Isle of Wight and other districts where, pretending that the two secretaries were giving him racing tips " bound to win," he obtained various sums to put on the " certainty." Needless to say, once in possession of the money he vanished. In various places he has posed as the proprietor of a Torquay hotel looking for superior accommodation for an Army officer and his wife.
