Miss Elliott was tendered a farewell bridge party by a large number of her friends on Thursday evening, when she was presented with a beaded handbag.

The monthly meeting of the Bays-water-Belmont League of Mothers was held in the Presbyterian Hall, Belmont, Mrs. W. Verrnn presiding. Mrs. A. Reynolds, president of the Takapuna branch, gave an interesting address on " Women of Other Countries," which was much appreciated. The tea hostesses were:—Mrs. \V. Verran, Mrs. Hargraves, Mrs. J. Seagers, Mrs. T. McCarthy and Mrs. JS. Carhill.
