DANCING

An old-time carnival dance will be held at the Pirate Shippe, Milford Beach, to-night. Special music will be rendered by the Pirate Shippe Band, and there will be various novelty items. Free transport arrangements are advertised.

A tennis night will be celebrated tonight at Dixieland Cabaret under the auspices ot the Royal Oak and Te Koraenga Tennis Clubs. Popular nuift** bers from the new film, " George White's 1935 Scandals," will be played by the " New Internationals." Dancing may be enjoyed under ideal conditions at the Peter Pan Cabaret to-night. Many popular old dance tunes, in addition to the latest melodies, will be played by the celebrated Peter Pan Band. Maurice Seel and his Carnival Orches- i tra will play at the special carnival to I be held at the Rialto Ballroom, Newmarket, to-night. Chocolates, cigarettes, streamers, balloons and innumerable other novelties will be distributed, while prizes will be given for a spot waits and Monte Carlo. A massed demonstration of the rumba will be given by exponents • from the leading city dancing studios at the Carlton Cabaret to-night. Theatre tickets will be distributed during the evening. Numerous prizes are offered in competitions to be held at the old-time dnnce to be held in the Zealandia Hall, Balmoral, to-night. Music will be provided by Holt's Popular Orchestfa. The Maxina, Log Cabin, Alberta, Tingle-Tangle and many other old-time tunes will be played at the dance to be held by the Grey Lynn branch of, the Labour Party, in the Masonic Hall, Newton, to-night. A masquerade ball will be held by the German Club at Dixieland Cabaret on Thursday night. j
