TWO MEM IMPRISONED • ESCAPE FROM A FLOGGING f[BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] CHRISTCHUECH, Friday Describing the crime as cowardly and contemptible, Mr. Justice Northcroft this morning sentenced Matthew Wallace Munro, aged 25, an unemployed man, and Adrien Chenot (37), to three years' hard labour on a charge of robbery with violence, the victim being a Chinese.

Chenot, described as a French naval deserter, was also sentenced to six months' imprisonment, to be cumulative, on a charge of housebreaking for which he was on probation at the time of the present offence.
