PRESENTATIONS
The Rev. H. Thornley, minister of tho Onehunpa Congregational Church,. who is shortly leaving Onehunga, was pre* sented with a travelling rug and suitcasa by the relief workers of the district at a gathering held in the Onehunga relief workers' clubrooms on Thursday even* ing. Various speakers referred to the fine work done by Mr. Thornley among tho unemployed and the children and said his departure would be much regretted. At the annual meeting of the Onfl* hunga Bowling Club on Thursday night a pipe and a bowlers' inkstand were pre* sented to Mr. J. E. Cowell, secretarytreasurer of the club. The president, Mr. S. Vella, said members were fortunate in having the services of Mr. Cowell, who had been a member of the club for 2o years and who had been a most capable and zealous secretary-treasurer during the last four years.
