Mr. C. M. Richwhite returned from Taranaki yesterday morning. Mr. Justice Callan left :for Wellington by the limited express last evening! Mr. P. Hally, Conciliation Commissioner, has returned from Wellington. Mr. E. Casey, assistant-general manager of railways, is at the Hotel Cargen. Mr. A. 0. ,Heany, seiSretarv of the Associated Chambers of Commerce, returned to Wellington last evening. The Rev. A. J. H. Dow, of Trinity Presbyterian Church, Timaru, h a 3 accepted a call to St. Andrew's Church, Gisborne. Mr. C. R. Orr-Walker, S.M., of Timaru, who recently underwent an operation in a private hospital, has returned to his home. Mr. C. Egerton Lowe and Mr. Alexander Watson, the well-known • elocutionist. will conduct this year's examinations in New Zealand for Trinity College of Music, London, in music and elocution respectively. The Rev. Father J. Spillane, S.M., of St. Mary's Church, Manchester Street, Christchurch, has been transferred to Wellington to take charge of the church of St. Marv of the Angels, Boulcott Street, replacing Father J. O'Connor, S.M., who will attend s tha General Chapter of the Marist Order at Rome. The Rev. Father A. Jeffcoate, of Sydney, wijl replace Father i Spillane at St. Mary's.
