THE PAKURANGA HUNT
GATHERING AT CLEVEDON Excellent sport was enjoyed by the Pakuranga Hunt Club at Clcvedon on Saturday, when three kills were obtained after long arid interesting runs. About 40 riders participated and the weather was ideal for hunting, the scent lying well. The hunt met at the Clevedon Hall and after morning tea, which was provided by the ladies of the district, moved on to Mr. T. B. McDonnell's property. A haro was rjut up on Mr. H. Alexander's farm and after a run through the show grounds was killed on Mr. A. D. Bell's property. Tho hunt ihen worked through Jr. M. Wilson's land «md over Mr. C. C. Munroe's, wh»- another hare waa put up. .t crossed Mr. Alexander's farm and carried ;u over the show grounds and Mr. Bell's uropeity and was killed near the river. A strong hare got up on Mr. Munroe's property and went th.ough the farms of leßsrs. G. Dow, J. Dow, L. Brown and W. Hunt. The hare took the fields at a very ast clip and provided a splendid hunt. The hounds worked it back through the same properties before it was killed near a creek in Mr Brown's farm, after a particularly good run. •
