SEAMEN'S INSTITUTE
INSPECTION BY COMMODORE A visit of inspection to the Seamen's Institute was paid on Friday by Commodore the Hpn. E. R. Drummond, commanding the New Zealand Division of the Royal Navy. He was met by the Rev. H. K. Vickery, chaplain' to the Flying Angel Missions to Seamen, and members of the board of management. Commodore Drummond congratulated the board on the facilities provided for the recreation of seamen at the institute, and paid a tribute to the activities of the board in connection with their welfare. He signified his intention of co-operating with the mission, particularly with a view to arranging sports contests between naval men and the mercantile marine.
