POLICE FUNERAL
DEATH OF OONSTABLE » More than 50 members of the police force attended the funeral yesterday of Constablei P. J. O'Gorman, of Airondale, who died on Tuesday night its a residt of injuries received on. May 15, when he was struck by a taxieab while on duty in Great North Road, Avonda le. The police officers present included Inspector R. R. J. Ward, in charge of the Auckland central district; SubInspector J. Sweeney, in charge of detectives; and Sub-Inspector 1). Scott, of the uniformed branch, while there were also representatives of the returned soldiers. The police marched for a distance from the Roman Catholic Church at Avondale, and then proceeded by buses to Waikumete cemetery.
