AUSTRALIAN CLUB
The Australian Club held , a successful bridge and mah-jongg party at the Penwomen's Club rooms last evening. The guests were received by the president, Mr. J. Farrell, and Mrs. Farrell, who were assisted by Mrs. St. Clair Brown, chairwoman of the Australian Women's Club. Those who had arranged tables included: —Dr. Buckley Turkinuton, Mesdaines St. Clair Brown, Noakes, Bruce-Smith, Spence, Whitton, Gray, Greene, Hill, Kav-Stratton, Darlow, Binns, Coote, Paykell and Miss Cousins. Mrs. Scott-Young and Mrs. T. -Gulliver acted as hostesses. The prizes were won by Mrs. N. A. Hepburn, Mr. G. F. Frieberg.
