INSPECTION OF BOOTS A letter was received from the Auckland Rugby Union at a meeting of the Auckland Rugby Referees' Association last evening notifying that after May 18 no metal studs would be allowed on boots. It was decided to inspect all boots next Saturday and warn all players concerned to replace the metal studs with leather ones before the next match. Messrs. P. Mansill, A. Finnell, W. Allen, L. Bridgens, S. Tilly, C. Pearce. G. Ashton. and J. Salt were elected members of the association. subject to passing the usual examination. Mr. E. Dudson was welcomed back from Palmerston North.
