"ESCAPE ME NEVER"

SCENES IN THE DOLOMITES Elizabeth Bergner and her husband, Dr. Paul Czinner, with the rest of the " Escape Me Never " unit, are now working on interior scenes. Perinal, the famous French cameraman, is photographing these, and has taken over from Sepp Allgeier, who did the location work in the Dolomites and Venice. Allgeier, Avho photographed " The White Hell of Pits Palu," fairly revelled in the opportunities for capturing the scenic beauties of the country, and these scenes alono should make tho film an outstanding one.

Cortina was made the base for operations in the Dolomites. Photographing began there on the mountain and hotel scenes in brilliant sunshine, but ended, after a couple of weeks in a snowstorm. This resulted in a dash to Venice, where a day's filming was secured, and with the weather all clear again the party returned to the mountains for the completion of the sequence there. A hundred extras were secured from the neighbourhood, but distinguished themselves bv arriving late for their first (lav's filming, through their train being delayed by a tree which fell across the track.

Supporting Elizabeth Bergner in " Escape Mo Never " are Hugh Sinclair, Griffith Jones, Penelope Dudley Ward, Irene Vanbrugh and Leon Quartermaine.
