HAMILTON SOCIETY'S WORK [from OtTR OWN correspondent] HAMILTON, Thursday Reference was mndo <nt a meeting of the Hamilton Beautifying Society last evening to the excellent progress made with the work of tree»planting in Hamilton streetß. Dr. H. Douglas stated that over 15 miles of streets in the borough had been planted with trees, the number of which exceeded 1800. "Considering the large number of trees in the streets, the two employees who have been looking after them have done excellent work, but that does not alter the fact that many trees have been allowed to die because there was no time to attend to them," said Dr. Douglas. He added that an extensive report on the subject would bo tabled at the society's next meeting.
