The final of the Now Zealand Ladies' Golf Union's autumn foursomes at the Xew Plymouth Club's links this afternoon saiv a niother-aiul-dalighter partnership in Mrs. Russell Grace, of Wanganui, and her daughter, Mrs. Young, triumph over another Wniiganui pair in Miss Currie and Miss Blythe. Mrs. Grace was the dominating figure throughout, playing with great steadiness and determination. Her sliotfc between the greens were always accurate and she missed nothing on the greens. Mrs. Young, although not playing quite up to form, made no serious mistakes. lioth Miss, Currie and Miss Blythe played their long shots very soundly hub worn very weak around the greens. Bub for this the match, which ended 5 up and •'}, would have been much more closely contested. Mrs. Grace- and her partner took the first with a soundly-played four and then Mrs. Grace sank an eight-foot putt for a win at the next. After the third had been halved. Miss Blythe, with a long putt, gave her side a win at the fourth. This success was short-lived as they lost the next, where Mrs. Young put down a good putt. Mrs. Grace staged a line recovery from an awkward situation at the short sixth and snatched a half when her opponents' required three putts. The seventh was halved, but Miss Currie and Misij Blythe took no less than four putts at the next, leaving Mrs. Grace and her daughter three up A graVid tec shot by Miss Currie at the ninth, the ball coming to rest four feet from the flag, enabled her to reduce the; deficit, but Miss Blythe sliced her drive out of bounds at the tenth and Mrs. Grace and Mrs. Young were three tip again. They increased this to four at the next, where Mrs. Grace's approach stymied Miss Currie. The, twelfth was halved after Miss Blythe had staged a great recovery from an awkward position and the next two holes were also halved in perfect par figures.
