THE ROTARY CLUB

LUNCHEON WITH FOUNDER The Reception Flail at Milne and Choyce's was occupied to its fullest capacity yesterday on the occasion of a complimentary luncheon by the Auckland Rotary Club to the' founder of the movement, IVlr. Raul P. Harris, of Chicago. Among those present were 11 members from the Whangarei Rotary Club and 28 past members of tho Auckland Rotary Club. The president, Mr. 0. L. Taylor, presided, and Mr. Harris gave an inspiring address to members on the part they might play as ambassadors of international goodwill, thus carrying out one of tho fundamental objects of tho movement. The visiting Rotary members welcomed were Mr. W. G. Hodges, of London, and Messrs. H. C. Rishworth, T. Griffin, J. Evans, R. Dmnitnond, J. Mitchell, J. G. Campbell, K. Kelly, A. K. Franks, V. J. Wise, W. J. Dawson and A. H. Wylie, all of Whangarei. A large group afterwards assembled on the roof, where they were photographed with Mr. Harris in the centre.
