The demands of the workers were not mado public, but it is understood that the union's representatives are asking for an increase of approximately one shilling a day on the rf tes fixed by the 1931 agreement and that the wages of members of the union omployed by the Golden Dawn Company, which carries on operations at Owharoa, be raised to the level of those paid by the Waihi Gold Mining Company.
