ROTORUA INTERESTS
Mrs. Toplis, formerly of Rotorua, is at present the guest of Mrs. J. M. Roberts. of Hinemoa Street. M rs. J. Hogg, who lias been resident in Rotorua for several years, left last week for the Te Ante College, where her husband has been appointed chaplain. The annual general meeting of the Rotorua sub-branch of the Whakatane branch of the Plunket Society took place last week. Mrs. J. Halkett was thanked for her services as secretary for the past eight years. The following officers were elected: — President, Mrs. E. Roe; vice-presi-dents, Mrs. .J. Halkett, Mrs. S. H. Hay; lion, vice-president, Mrs. l'\ W. Wiikie; secretary and treasurer, Mrs. E. H. Tyler; committee, Mesdames R. A. Potter, A. J. Jsdale, W. H. Evans, Johnstone, and Miss D. Mitchell; advisory board, Dr. H. Bertram, Dr. S. H. Hay, Dr. W. S. Wallis; lion, auditor. Mr. E. Roe.
