SUVA DOCTOR'S DEATH
BLOOD POISONING CASE RESULT OF SMALL SCRATCH { from our own correspondent] SUVA, April 2 The death occurred at Suva this morning of Dr. Temple ittley, aged 39, an Englishman who has been settled in Suva for the past two yenra. With several others. Dr. Utley arrived in Fiji from England via Tahiti in his 10-ton yacht Inyala, and, deciding to remain here, commenced practice. He was a very keen yachtsman and made many friends. In the latter part of last year Dr. IJtley, together with Mr. Langdale, an officer on the Government yacht Pioneer, and several others sailed to Auckland in the Seafarer, a small yacht that is now in Auckland awaiting Mr. Langdale's return, Dr. Utley having returned by steamer. After an adventurous life, including lengthy service in the war, Dr. Utley's death was the result of blood poisoning, following a small scratch received in the course of his professional work. He qualified at St. George's Hospital, London.
