OTAHUHU PLUNKET
ELECTION OF OFFICERS The annual meeting of the Otahuhu branch of the Plunket Society was held on Wednesday. The president of the Auckland society, Mrs. J. C. Allan, welcomed a large attendance. The annual report showed that the branch had maintained its strong position during the year. Tributes were paid to the officers, special mention being made of the retirement of Mrs. H. T. Clements, who had been secretary for the past 12 year?. In recognition of her services she was elected an honorary vice-presi-dent. Mrs. Allan gave an interesting talk. , ~ Officers were elected as follows: — Patron. Mrs. A. E. M. Rhind; president. Mrs. J. Mclvor; vice-presidents, Mrs. H. T. Clements, and Mrs. J. E. Gillies; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mrs. T. W. Nield; committee, Mesdamcs J. Wallace, R. Wallace, T. Flood, W. Pavne, J. Ayres, F. W. Martin, J. McAnultv, A. C. Boniface, A, McCowatt, N. Walters, G. Boswell. H. Turner, F. W. Grey, H. Fenton, J. Trenwith, J. Keftip, C. Morgan, H. Gibson, A. Pirie, V. West, Possenniskie, J. Arkinstall, A. McLaren. H. Jamieson. Mesdames Pirie and McAnulty were appointed to represent the branch on tho Social Service Association.
