SHORTHAND TEST
AUCKLAND GIRL'S SUCCESS
A certificate and silver medal for passing an examination in Pitman's shorthand at 200 words a minute has been gained bi' Miss Monica GranvilleJones, of Auckland. The last award of this nature was made to a New Zealander in 1898. The examination was a live minutes' test held at the Auckland Business College. where Miss Granville-Jones has been a pupil since 1930. The test was conducted before a committee, compris ing Messrs. C. K. Miinro, G. Browrilee, E M Edgar and A. V. Wheeler.'The last-named is Pitman's representative in Australia and New Zealand.
