MUSIC SCHOLARSHIPS
TENABLE IN LONDON THREE NEW ZEALANDERS Three scholarships granted by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of MusiCj London, have been awarded to New Zealanders. Miss Cecilia Keating, of Greymouth, has been awarded a violin scholarship and Miss Edith Astall, of Hastings, a pianoforte scholarship at the Royal College of Music. Miss Janetta McStay, of lnvercargill, has been awarded a pianoforte scholarship at the Royal Academy of Music.. All three scholarships, which were based on the results of the practical examinations of 1934, provide two years' free tuition at the institutions named, with a possible extension at the board's discretion.
