BIG DEAL VETOED
TIMBER FROM RUSSIA MR. RUNCIMAN'S ACTION LONDON, Feb. 10 The Financial Times states that the President of the Board of Trade, Mr. AValter Runciman, is reported to have A-etoed a £6,000,000 timber deal between London timber distributors and the Russian Government. This was the biggest deal ever negotiated with Russia.
