This is the third system to be tried by the Auckland Trotting Club, 'J he win and plaoe method was instituted in February, 1933, but after 12 months a return was made to the single pool with two dividends in the ratio of 75 per cent and 25 per cent. Win and place was again experimented with at the spring meeting this season, but for the summer carnival the single pool was in force.
