TIMBER TRADE BUSY
TRIAL SHIPMENT OF MAT AI [by TELEGRAPH OWN correspondent] WANGANUI, Monday A period of marked activity in the timber trade, with all mills working full time to fulfil orders, is reported from the Taupo district. A small consignment of matai was shipped to England recently to be tested for its suitability for ships' furniture and interior decoration. If it proves equal to expectations further orders are anticipated.
