REPERTORY THEATRE
The inaugural meeting of the Garrick Repertory Theatre was held this week at the clubrooms, Warwick Chambers. It was decided to produce plays publicly, to perform play-read-ings in the clubrooms, and to hold literary evenings in connection with the drama. Some social events have also been arranged. An interesting discussion on types of plays and their respective values, took place, and many members were enrolled.
Among those present were:—Mrs. Booth, Mrs, Wilson, Mrs. McCall, Mrs. Kissin, Miss O'Halloran, Misses Penty, Miss Reeve, Miss Monteith, Miss Steele, M iss McDonald, Miss Cavendish and Miss D'Arcy-Jones.
