MAN TRAPPED
FREEZING CHAMBER HORROR RELEASE BY CHANCE CALLER Anker Neilsen, a fish retailer, was > imprisoned in a freezing chamber at a butchery at Lithgow, New South .Wales, lately for 80 minutes. A chanco j call by a butchery shopman, who was searching for a fellow-employee in the vicinity of the chamber, secured the imprisoned man's release. When the shopman saw a light inside and opened the door, he was astonished to see a white-coated figure emergd gasping. "Vl Mr. Neilsen, entered the freezing chamber about 9.30 a.m. and pulled the door behind him. Vibration released the 'catch outside and he was locked in. With an iron bar, he struck the door repeatedly. Then he thumped on the ceiling. His efforts were fruitless, although he could hear shopmen on the floor above walking about. The shopmen heard the knockings, but assumed * ; that they came from a mechanic who was doing repair work. Despairing of early release, Mr. Neilsen began a series of exercises to keep up his blood circulation. Eventually, about 10.50 a.m., the shopman released him. "It was a nightmare," he said* "Every minute seemed an eternity.
