In the insurance market New Zealands sold twice at 69s 9d, a fall of 9d. and then eased to 69s 6d. South British were done unchanged at 97s 3d. Sellers of Queenslands reduced their price by 6d to 61s, and offers rose by Is 3d to 59s od. Guarantee Corporations wore ljd firmer on sals at 6s, while Auckland Gas, which rose 3d on Saturday, returned to their former level in an ex dividend sale at 26s EM. laupo Totara Timbers were taken 4d higher at 5s 4d, and New Zealand Breweries improved Sd to sell at 5:25. Electrolytic Zincs were 3d weaker on sale at 21s 6d, while Xew Zealand Newspapers and Wilsons Cements changed handsi at ruling rates.
