FLIGHT TO WELLINGTON

ATTENDANCE AT TROTTING The Takanini trotting trainer. Mr. F. J. Smith, and the owners of Worthy Light, Messrs. C. E. and H. L. Lovegrove, will leave for Wellington this morning in tho Tainui, the de Havilland Rapide aeroplane flown in the Centenary air race by an Auckland crew. Tho trip is being undertaken to enable the owners and the trainer to see the Royal Handicap at Hutt Park this afternoon, Worthy Light being engaged in tho event. Tho use of aeroplanes to make rapid journeys over long distances to attend rnco meetings is rapidly gaining favour. The owner of the Auckland Cup winner flew from Hastings to Auckland, and the driver of the Auckland Trotting Cup winner travelled by air from Ashburton to Auckland, during the Christmas meetings.
