DROWNED BY A SNAKE
A crowded ferry-boat crossing the Chambar river at Gwalior collided with a thatched roof which had been washed into tho river during a flood. On the roof was a large snake, which fell into the boat The panic-stricken passengers huddled together on ono side of the boat, causing it to. capsize. Seventeen persons were drowned.
