The Princess Royal has consented to become president of the British Women's Symphony Orchestra for a term of three years, states a London writer. She made her first appearance as president at the opening concert of the orchestra at the Queen's Hall toward the end of November. Baroness Ravensdale is vice-president of the orchestra, which has been in existence for twelve years. There is no doubt that the Princess Royal will make an enthusiastic president, for she is keenly interested in music, and, with her husband, is one of the most ardent supporters of music in the musical centres around their Yorkshire home.
