TWO MEN SCALDED
MEAT WORKS ACCIDENT LARGE VAT BOILS OVER Scalds to the back were received by two employees at the Otahuhu meat works of Messrs. R. and W. Hellaby, Limited, yesterday afternoon. They were James Mitchell, aged 42, of Puhinui Road, Papatoetoe, and Kenneth Darroch, aged 18, of _36 Waterview Road, Stanley Baj\ They were engaged in filling sacks when the water in a large vat boiled over.
The injured men were attended by Dr. Vincent Griffen and were later taken to the Auckland Hospital in a St. John ambulance. Their condition is not serious.
