FIRST ROUND MATCHES FINAL SERIES TO-MORROW PONSONBY TO PLAY EDEN The final series of matches in the first round of the Auckland Cricket Association's senior championship will be commenced tomorrow, when interesting cricket is anticipated. With prospects of fast wickets and outfields high scoring should ho general all round. Owing to the Plunket Shield fixture between Auckland and Wellington next week-end the series commencing tomorrow will bo concluded on January 26.

The principal attraction at Eden Park will be between Ponsonby and Eden. The former will liave the services of the coach, L. F. Towneend, and as it has been showing good form in recent matches, should take the points. Eden, however, is a stroiig balling team and ia likoly to make a good showing. On No. 2 wicket Parnell, the second team in the competition, will play King's Old Boys and another keen game should result. University, the leading team, will meet Grafton on the No. 3 wicket, and the latter is quite capable of beating the leaders. At North Shore the local 6ide will try conclusions with Y.M.C.A. 1 his game should provide some very attractive cricket, ae both teams are in fine form. Lower grade competitions will be continued.
